Description

This is an antique piece of silver that I believe to be a holder for an ostrich egg. I think its from the late Victorian period, c.1860's. I've enclosed a picture of the marks on the bottom. I can't identify the country of origin. I've looked at silver reference hallmark books and it may be either German or Dutch silver. Thanks
