Description
This was probably a candy dish, my grandfather has memories of it holding candy on an entry table in his parents' home. A small oval base is ornamented with a band of leaves. A narrow arch holds the dish above the base and is embellished at the lower corners with daisy type flowers. The oval dish has cupid handles at the end, sitting with their feet toward the middle of the piece and looking north and south. The dish itself is embossed with flowers. Filligree hangs down from the dish on the ends and center to add visual balance and handles The button on the bottom reads SIMPSON, HALL, MILLER & CO. . Also stamped on the bottom is "1500" and engraved are LIST and three Symbols that resemble Hs.
