This piece is typical of furniture made in Grand Rapids during the turn of the 19th Century through the 1920's. It's a mix of European styles, which makes such pieces look older than they are. Most of these maple with walnut veneers. No great demand for furniture like this since the 1990's, at auction comparable pieces now often sell for under $100.00
