Description It is unknown what the small white bowl and lid are made of. On each side of the bowl is a yellow, brown, and white bird standing on a branch with leaves on both sides of it, slightly above that is a gold design painted on the side of the bowl completely around the bowl, above that is a line of light blue paint about an inch wide around the bowl. Above that is a line of white paint about 1/4" wide that goes all around the bowl.At the very top of the bowl on the outside edge is a partially gold painted ring around the bowl. The bowl is 3" in diameter and is 3" high. The inside of the lid is 3 1/4" in diameter and is 1" high. There are two tiny chips on the handle of the lid that are hardly noticeable. The lid is white with one yellow flower painted on it. On the bottom of the bowl it says Rhythm by Homer Laughlin, then USA and then a series of numbers and letters K 91 N4. The small pitcher is silver plated, I don't know what kind of metal it is silver plated on. There is a design on one side of the pitcher of flowers and leaves, and there is a design on the spout where it meets up with the pitcher. There are a couple of minor scratches on it that could probably be polished away towards the top of it. But there is a small dent in the back of the pitcher at the bottom to the right of the handle. The pitcher is 3" in diameter and is 4 1/4" high. It says THE HARD WHITE METAL CO, Conn on the bottom of the pitcher with the numbers 2614.

I purchased a huge pitcher like this one at a thrift store for $50.00 because I thought it was beautiful.  It has same decor on it as this one but is even more ornate.  It is around 13 inches tall and 22 inches around the base at the fullest part.  The lid is hinged on and it has almost a spear like decoration on it.  The handle is really ornate.  I do not have a working camera at this time but it also has Hard White Metal on the bottom of it.  I'd love to know the value of it and the history.  It's really beautiful.

Thanks,

Scarkettt
