Description

I have a small butter knife with a pearl? Or mother of pearl? handle stamped Wm A. Rogers (no "& Son" or "Ltd." or anything else). The name is arched (but not centered over a horseshoe with an "R" inside. Under the horseshoe, in an upside down arch - also not centered - is "Warranted." I can't find this exact stamp on multiple Internet sites I've tried. I've found ones with the horseshoe but not like this. I need help dating this item and determining whether it's sterling, silver plate or other. Can u help? Pics are below (it's quite tarnished overall but the stamp is clear). Thanks! Nicole
