The Smithy by: Paul Detlefsen

Description

This is a print not an actual painting. Artist is Paul Detlefsen and titled "The Smithy". Frame is solid wood and measures 53" X 29". Frame is 3" thick. Little metal plate is attached to bottom center of frame with artist's name and picture name. The whole thing is in pristine condition. Have no idea how much it is worth.

These prints were decorator items sold through Department stores during the late 1950's through early 70's. Values for them tend to be modest unless the print is a limited edition. Limited edition prints will have a number in the margin to indicate the size of the edition and the number of the print itself in that printing run, it would look something like this " 344/1000".
