solid brass floor lamp

Description

I saw one just like it in the movie Gone With The Wind other then that I have never seen one like it I have the oringinal lamp shade that was with it and the lamp works,it is made of solid brass,,an antique dealer who saw it in my house said it was really old other then that ,that is all I know about it.

Re: solid brass floor lamp

Electric lamps only date from the turn of the 19th Century as a mass produced product, pole lamps like this one generally date from the first quarter of the 20th Century. The shade shown is not the original, it dates much later than the lamp. "As is lamps like this often sell for under $75.00 at auction unless by a big name maker.
