Description This is a trinket box that looks like a china hutch. The part which is the cabinet is the base and the top is the open back shelves containing 6 serving peices (1 pitcher, 1 tea pot, 1 bottle, 2 glasses and 1 tea cup). There is no detailed painting to this piece, it is glazed to look like blue marble and the finish is in excellent condition with a very high shine. There are no cracks or chips on the entire piece and it is in pristine condition. The date that is inscribed on the lid looks to be 1824 but on very close inspection it also reads as 1324. The original tag from when my Grandmother purchased it is still on the back and simply reads " Staffordshire Trinket Box". I have done some research on it but can't find anything that looks like it. It truely is a beautiful little pice.
