Description
From what I've heard this desk belonged to the president of a local printing company. The Company started in 1928, but my guess is the desk was bought after the depression. In 1933 they did move their 3rd location, and the company was incorporated in 1935 because business was so good. It was stored out in the plant when I bought it in 1990, having not been used in years.
It appears to be made of Mahogany. What makes it interesting is the entire top is 1 sheet of leather. There's a 1/4" wood trim and the leather is flush.
Everthing on the desk works except the locking system that will lock all drawers when the center drawer is closed.
This has been a great desk that I've used every day for nearly 20 years.
