15 years ago When my neighbor died, her family came and cleaned out her house and put the boxes of trash on the ground beside the dumpster as it was full. When I took out my trash I saw the boxes but this little green thing was plain to see and I couldn't believe that anyone would throw it away, so I rescued it! I have taken it to two antique dealers and one of them said it might be a snuff box and the other one didn't have any idea. It's made of metal, maybe brass, it looks like green paint on it, It is 4 " long, and 1" & 3/4 tall. The only marks are stamped on the bottom say (JB 1627) I was hoping that I would find out what it is before I die and someone throws it away again.
