Description

I don't even know if my title is acutate...

Is this in fact a "teacup"? I don't know what the other dish is called:-(

These both are beautiful, and I was very sad that somehow the "teacup" piece got damaged. You can see where it is obviously chipped in the 7th and 8th photos.

I don't know how old, each one on the bottoms says (I did my best but it's hard to see in the photos) MADE IN ENGLAND. The dish with lid has the number 38 and the teacup dish has the number 17.

However the teacup dish ALSO has the letter "R" but the dish with lid doesn't have a letter.

Thank you so much for looking! I have many postings but still have no responses on any of them:-( I would be thrilled if you viewed my other listings also! Maybe I don't have them in the correct catagory? Smile

Medium Porcelain?
Distinguishing marks MADE IN ENGLAND on both, the number 38 on bottom of the dish with lid.... The number 17 and the letter R is on bottom of teacup
Condition Fair
Size and dimensions of this item TEACUP: 6" L (from furthest tip to tip) - 4" W - 3" at tallest point --- DISH W/LID: 6.5" L (from furthest tip to tip) - 5" W - 3.25" Tall - Lid opening is about 3" by 3" (that includes the entire circle without the lid on, trim too)
Date Period unknown
History Is fair the condition I should have chosen? They both would be in great shape had that piece not chipped:-(

Also- My measurements are rough measurements. They are more than likely very close or are accurate, it was just sort of hard measuring odd shaped dishes.
