Teacups and saucers

#1 is a hand painted, square teacup and saucer. It is pink with a lake scene and blue flowers painted on the cup and the blue flowers repeated on the saucer. Bothe the cup and saucer are trimmed in gold. Where the cup sets on the saucer and the bottom of the tea cup is square. The signature on the bottom is in faded red paint: "M. Rant..  xmas. 1888 and N.L.N. possibly along the raised edge under the saucer.

#2 is cream with black trim along the inside edge of the cup and outside edge of the saucer. In the center of each is a dark pink rose with 3 buds. There is gold design connecting the black and cream design. The outside of the cup is a darker cream/light yellow on the top half with a gold line mid cup and cream color on the bottom of the cup. The bottom of the cup and saucer are stamped with "KW-C253"

I would like to know approximate appraisal for #1 and possible production time frame and appraisal for #2.
