Description

I have a gold plated rimmed-ceramic teapot set.  The logo n the exterior bottom has a knight’s shield and helmet with a peacock or turkey on top of the helmet.  Some items in the set have the word ALPETE above the logo and some have same word plus the word ALEMANIA underneath.  They also have a number (2) with an open lock (?) next to the number; both in orange color.  They all have an oval colored picture with three ladies (one half naked) in front of an apparent sheppard.

Medium The rim of the cups, saucers, plates, cream/sugar dispenser, and tea pot are gold plated, as well as their handles.
Distinguishing marks An orange colored number (2) with an open lock (?) next to the number. These symbols are nest to or withing the logo.

Date Period Early 1900's.
History They were given as a wedding gift to my parents.

Alemania is Spanish for "Germany". I am confused....  is this German or Spanish? I cant find any reference to this maker at all. Were your parents German by chance? Only thing I can say for sure is they are not handpainted :)  Still researching this one, it might be one of the tiny  potters in Germany that were not in business long or changed names. 

The set was a wedding gift at a ceremony in Mexico.  Although, my grandfather's parents were from Germany.  The set might be from Germany, Spain, or Mexico (?).

I found several things by this maker online for sale all in Uruguay. I wonder if the German potter sent this line there, interesting. Sorry I cant help much more.
