Thomas Prime & Son Silver Plated Nutcracker

Appraisal complete
Description

I am looking for some information on this late 1800's Nutcracker. I believe it is a nutcracker, but it could also potentially function as a Lobster or Crab Claw cracker. The piece, of Thomas Prime & Son,  Birmingham, England, features an interesting scattered triangles design and is signed. Any insights as to vlaue would be greatly appreciated! Thank You!
