Three Dogs on Military Can

By Bros keeper, 17 April, 2014
Description

This belongs to my brother and I don’t know much about it.  I know he got it in Texas about thirty years ago.  He went to yard sales, garage sales, flea markets and was a dumpster diver.  He has a lot of stuff and I doubt he knows just what he has.  This painting is of three dogs in a field facing the painter.  It is painted on metal cut from the side of a large military coffee can.  The frame is home made and whatever it was sealed or stained with is showing wear.  The painting is dated 15.4.45 and signed by either H. or A. Brenner.  I can’t make it out.  Under the name is Forrest and what appears to be USA.

That’s I know about it and any help is welcomed.

Thanks
