6-7 inch tall Tiffany hand bell.  Circa 1853 I believe.

Distinguishing marks Makers marks. Silver and Tiffany marks. There is one other scratched in mark but unsure what it is. All on underside of bell.

Date Period 1853-1854 I believe
History Was given to mother by a companion.

Unusual silver mark in that most silver is 924 or 925 not 942 (out of 1000 for pure silver). I've seen these Pre-Century Tiffany cherub bells sell at auction for $300-$400, but I've also seen them go up to $1,000 at some auctions. The initials carved into the bottom of the piece was probably done by the owner to mark their piece to thwart theft.
