Tiger Oak Buffet w/mirror

By Johnsonr, 21 October, 2012
Description

TIger Oak Buffet w/mirror and wooden wheels. Believed to be built in 1890-1900. Very nice carved accents. The piece is in good condition. Has a water spot on top and a small area that has a rub mark, other than that no other defect. The top 2 drawers are serpetine in style. Middle drawer is flat and below that are two doors. All drawers and doors are very smooth functioning. I can't find and manufacturing mark/label.

Re: Tiger Oak Buffet w/mirror

Pieces like this were mass produced factory items, the carving was all done by machine. They were made during the turn of the 19th century, a lot of them by factories centered in Grand Rapids Michigan. They generally sell anywhere from $700-$1200.00 these days.
