Tobey Dining Room Set

Description

My siblings and I inherited a dining room set from our grandparents, consisting of a dining table, sideboard, side table (for lack of a better description) and 8 chairs. Due to Covid-10 and travel restrictions, I only have a handful of photos as I have been unable to travel to the house where they are currently located. But several of the chairs have already sustained major damage. I realize that a value can’t be ascertained based on what I can post here at the moment. But I could really use help in determining whether these are items of sufficient value that I should find a way to get them moved to a safer location.

The Tobey Furniture Company of Chicago operated from 1856 to 1954, this set was amde from the second quarter of the 20th Century. This set is in the Federal Revival style, which was based on English Sherton and Hepplewhite designs. There is not currently much demand for furniture of this vintage a style, particularly if it is damgaed.
