Trivets are a great collectible, I have a few myself.
The fancier ones look good as wall art and the ones without lips are still usable as a hotplate holder.
These are a mass produced item however, and there are a lot of them around. Makes it a great item to start collecting with, because the prices are still reachable.
The fancier ones with organic tree type designs are selling for about $20 each. Simpler forms go all the way down to about $5 each.
I would estimate yours to be in about the mid point of those values at auction.
