Large oval platter, in good shape, rear stamp as indicated above. Possibly from 1891-1895?
Would love any further information about the dish as well as idea on appraisal.
Thanks!
Having a hard time uploading photos, hopefully you can see them in the attachment

Re: Turners Oval Meat Serving Tray

Not Much to tell really, they were one of just hundreds of pottery concerns churning out earthenware and ironstone for the American market during the late 19th Century. Here's a link for you:

http://www.thepotteries.org/allpotters/1010.htm

As far as value goes, not a fortune as it's badly crazed. At auction these often sell for under $125.00.

Lovejoy

Thanks for the info. Not realzing how old it was-I have actually been using it for the last few years!

Now I'll put it away. Are pieces like this pretty common?

Thanks again

Re: Turners Oval Meat Serving Tray

Pretty much every household of middling income would have had a similar platter during the late Victorian era, generally the more elaborate the design the hoher it cost when new.

Lovejoy
