Ulgy Platform Rocker with Elasta Seat

Profile picture for user aratkins

Description

Purchased a Flip Home built in 1950 and this platform rocker was found in the home.  The bottom of the seat says Elasta Seat by Acushnet Process Co. New Bedford, MA.  The chair is carved on the sides but the arms are so ugly!  Is it worth anything? Looks like it was rarely used, excellent condition, to bad its so unattractive!

Re: Ulgy Platform Rocker with Elasta Seat

It dates from the second quarter of the 20th century, but chairs like this in the Colonial style were made well into the 1960's, it might go for $75.00 if the cushions are in good shape.
