Un-marked Spode Water Pitcher?

Description I got this at an estate auction. It wasn't identified as Spode, but I had seen another one just like it in an Antique shop it even had a magazine article with a small photo. The article said something to the effect that it was Spode from the 1770's. It was a long time ago and I don't recall exactly what the article said. The Antique shop is long gone. Is this a Spode piece and could it be from the 1770's?
