Uncle John's Syrup Factory cut out From American Lithographic company..NY.

By rjunge, 22 April, 2014
Description

This Paper cutout is from the American Lithographic Company,NY.  At the bottom left corner is the American Lithographic Company signature. Uncle Johns Syrup cut out is taped to a white poster board and has been framed from Neil Framing from St. Louis MO.

What i know about the American Lithographic Company.

The company was founded by Joseph P Knapp in 1892 and quickly grew to be the largest printer in the United States (80% of the United States market).

The company was purchased by Consolidated Graphics in 1930. The company eventually was absorbed into the Crowell-Collier Publishing Company.

The company was involved in a major swindle ($100,000.00 lawsuit filed by company president William Ottman) against some folks from Great Britain in the twenties, that may have led to the company being taken over.

In 1892, when American Lithographic Co. (ALC) bought up several of the major Litho. Co.....Geo. Harris & Sons, Litho. inPhiladelphia was one of the major ones.

The original 13-story building in New York City still stands at 230 Park Ave South; and, above its main entrance engravedin stone on the transom is the "American Lithographic Company".

What i know about Uncle Johns Syrup....( NOT MUCH) LOL

All i know about this syrup is it was Made at the New England maple syrup co.-Boston..That's it..lol

I have looked on the internet,3 days for this item and can not find a picture of it anywhere.
