Description
Hello, I have a chandelier that was installed in our 1930 home in southern LA. It has 6 candles and one light below in its center. The only label I can find is in the mounting area that says Underwriters Laboratories Electric Fixture, Type I.C. Isse No. D-193, 563 and E-18623. It is functional, the before it was disconnected.
Re: Underwriters Laboratories Chandelier
The date would be bang on for lamps of this style and type most date before World War Two (1939). Similar lamps were made again in the 1950's when the Spanish Revival style made another brief appearance. The underwriters label was found on most American lamps of the period and don't help much to pin down a company or date of production. In "as is" condition most comparables sell for under $150.00.
