Please direct me to someone with knowledge about this set. The stamp on the bottom of the plates says Camwood Ivory Universal Cambridge oven proof made in usa. The entire set is blue/white square rimmed with gold around entire edges. Also has small pink roses with light green leaves and many more desgins I don't know how to describe.
My name is Michelle and any help that you can offer would be greatly appreciated, I found this entire set at a garage sale for $15.00 is it worth at least that??

Markings such as " Oven Proof" are generally of 1950's origin or later. Universal Potteries operated in Cambridge, Ohio, from 1934 until 1955. There is ton's of it around here's a link for you:

http://tinyurl.com/4657vj

Lovejoy

Re: universal cabridge dinner set
It seems to me that though there may be "many" around, if you've got a complete set, it should make your set worth much more than the average value of a few dishes. I'd hang on to it for a few years yet and watch it increase in value!
