Description

This is an oil painting. It looks like it is at least 40 years old, maybe older. The name in the bottom right is Benoit (or Bennett?). I am sure it is the same artist as this painting I found on this site: (http://instappraisal.com/antique-appraisal/oil-painting-street-scene-signed-benoit)

The painting looks like a french scene. The colors are very muted. Large paint globs.

In doing research, it looks like this is probably a mass produced Caoline Burnett painting. The signature is not capitalized. I have not inspected the canvas edges. That being said, I believe this painting, though pretty, is probably only worth about $20. I would love another opinion.
