Description

This bench has a removable seat that can be lifted and the center is a seperate piece that can be lifted out, placed in front of bech to fit as a exteded piece. Almost like a bed frame. fits perfectly into the front of this bech. It is definately hand crafted and older. not sure of its origin. the nails are wood peg nails and the seat is made to lift off.

Your settle bench is Eastern European, they've been imported over here by antique dealers since the 1980's. originally this would have been painted in bright colors, but was stripped to fit the market demand for bare pine furniture during the 1970'-early 90's. at auction a good one will go for $300.00.

Thank you for your reply. I was going nuts with curiosity. If these were imported in the eighty's... when do you actually think that it was made? In the 1980's?
