This is a small book that I've had for a few years, and I would love to know more about it. It's only about 4" X 6.5" in size, it has an almost faux-wooden cover look to the outside and I do not have a copyright page to even start with. That may sound unremarkable, but what truly interests me are the four pages sewn into the book that belong to something else entirely.
Where page 155 should be, is page 141 of Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam. I don't know how the last four pages of that book ended up in the Christmas Carol, but they are sewn in, after those four pages the story switches back and the book ends as it should.
There is some damage to the spine at the front cover, but otherwise, the book is in fairly good condition.
I would LOVE to know more about who printed it, why it looks so different, how old it is....and.....of course....what value it might have if any. It's always been special to me due to the defect and the fact that I love literature, but I would love to find out that my little defected manuscript might be able to help out in a way other than education.
I would love ANY information anyone could give me about the book or where I might be able to take it to find out more.
Thanks so very much!
