Your chair is a Victorian Renaissance Revival style example, they were all the rage back in the 1980's but demand for them has slumped since the 1990's.Today at action under they sell for $100.00. Lovejoy

We appreciate your input. My boyfriend used to work at an antique shop years ago and he said he has seen them and they sold for approx 280 - 300. So we were pretty excited to come upon this one. We are going to keep it but eventually if the price goes up we will decide to sell it.
