Description

This is a lamp that my parents had for as long as I can remember.  It is 50 or more years old.  It may have been a vase that was converted to a lamp, or may have been made as a lamp.  The label on the bottom says "Venini S.A. Murano" (picture of label included).

Based on the way it's put together, this vase was made into a lamp, as it's not drilled for the cord through the base. This vasewas probably designed by Carlo Scarpa who worked  for  Paolo Venini (1895-1959). It's called "bollicine" and very collectible. I strongly suggest you have this one physically appraised, vases like often sell for over $3500.00 at auction.
