Walker sculpts in mixed-media with freedom of imagination in the pieces that he produces. His wife, de Taos, is well-known for her “storyteller” series of clay figures that reflect her Apache ancestry.

VICKY DE TAOS (VICTORIA WALKER) STATES THAT HER NATIONALITY IS SPANISH AND APACHE INDIAN. SHE FIRST LIVED IN SAN LUIS( THE OLDEST TOWN IN COLORADO) . SHE STARTED MAKING CHRISTMAS FIGURINES TO HELP HER FAMILY. SHE MOVED TO TAOS, N.M., WHEN SHE ENTERED THE ARTS AND CRAFT FAIR IN TAOS, AND SOLD OUT THE FIRST DAY. AN ART SHOP ASKED HER I SHE WOULD BE INTERESTED IN MAKING SOUTHWESTERN STYLE FOR THEM. SHE STUDIED HER CULTURE AND STARTED MAKING KACHINA DOLLS. WHEN SHE CAME ACROSS STORYTELLER, SHE STARTED MAKING THEM FROM ORIGINAL CLAY. COLOR IS HER SPECIALTY.HER WORK IS KNOW THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES AND THE WORLD. This one is different from her work that i've seen of hers. In trying to figure out if this one is special, it's rarity, value, etc.
