Description

I bought this from an estate sale back in the 80's and was told it was an 1890's Victorian slipper chair. I'm just curious to know if that's actually what it is, where it possibly came from, if the era is correct, and how much it's potentially worth!

It's actually older than that, it's in the Renaissance Revival style, dating a good 30 years earlier. The style though is not very popular now, the whole Victorian decorating trend peaking in the 1990's the last time round. We often see chairs like this now sell for less than $100.00 at auction.
