Description
I was told this is a Victorian Era sofa when I purchased it for $900 18 years ago (no documentation, just the word of an antique dealer). It's in the same condition when bought, which is good, with some damage to the wood and mild upholstery stains. I meant to have it restored, but never found the time. I need to sell it, so does anyone know 1) if it is what I was told it is, and 2) how much should I ask for it?

Re: Victorian Era Sofa
It's not Victorian, it's what's called "Empire Revival", most of it dates from the turn of the 19th century through the early 1930's. This one looks like it dates into the late 1920's. Not much demand at all for this style now, even in good shape these often go at auction for less than $200.00.
Re: Victorian Era Sofa
Late '20s is about what I expected. Thanks for your feedback!
