Description

This is an item we came across this summer and can't seem  to find out any information about it. I have seen old post cards with the same sled and the same couple a long time ago. The sleds were used on ice ponds I gather in the victorian days. This is the first one I have seen as a figurine. It is very delicate and very light. It does'nt look like it was mass produced. It looks like someone took a lot of care to make it. It looks like gold leaf was added for the sled and the couple. White paint for the coverlet in the ladies lap. The man is attached with two nails. The facial paint looks like the kind on composition dolls, the facial features are painted on. I posted a similar post a few weeks ago but was unable to add pictures to it. I am hoping I will have more luck this time.
