This pieces value is going to correspond directly with it's value in silver weight. about $50-75 at best. In the past when silver was $10 an ounce or less, this would have been a $15-$20 item. There are very few exemptions that go above their melt weight with today's silver prices, nearly all Mexican silver is of low quality and carry zero premiums.

If it is just gold gilted (thin layer of plating) I'm afraid not. If for instance, the horse is a solid chunk of gold, then yes, it would certainly add some value.
