Description
This is a Signed (artist S. Heap) and marked Bavaria (old mark) and Hand Painted Stouffer. There are no chips or cracks and it has never had a reason to be repaired so none of that either. There is very little wear of the gold on the handles as you can see in the photos. actually its probably not really wear its most likely the dusting or cleaning all these years because Im pretty sure its over or right at 100 years old.

Samuel Heap came to Chicago Stouffer Studios from Pickard Studios in the later part of 1904 before he headed over to Stouffer Studio in 1905 when they opened. He continued with his work with them for some time after. He was considered to have played a very important role in bringing Stouffer Studios a big competitor in the finely painted porcelain and china markets.
