Vintage Duncan Phyfe Sofa, Chair, Coffee Table, Hutch, Round "Drum" Table, Dining Table and Chairs.....

By [email protected], 13 May, 2014
Description

I am assisting friends who are moving out of state with trying to sell some early to mid 1900's Duncan Pfyfe furniture. I know nothing about vintage furniture - I sell things on eBay, so they asked me to help. There is a sofa, chiar and coffee table; a small round drum table, a hutch and a 3-leaf dining table with 6 chairs.

The Sofa, Chair and coffee table:

The sofa was reupholstered in 1970, we have that receipt.

The right rear corner leg is cracked (looking at the sofa) from a previous move, but can be repaired as is.

The Chair  and coffee table are in very good condition. Coffee table has brass feet

The Dining Table, Chairs and hutch:

The tablbe is a drop leaf with 3 leaves. There is a "dry dowel" leg that needs a repair. Has brass feet.

The 6 chairs are lovley with clean and spot/tear-free upholstery. 2 of the 6 chahirs are showing missing/peeled veneer in small spots on the back of them, the worst is shown in the photo. The owners do have a can of the veneer that will go with the sale.

The hutch is lovley. The owners are not sure if it is for sure Duncan Pfyfe, but think so.

The Round Drum table:

This is really a nice piece, seems to be in oiginal condition (not refinished). The brass pull on the drawer is tarnished, etc. I have seen other tables showing brass feet, this table does not seem to have brass feet--but the photo is hard to tell- I have asked the owners to check and get back to me.

I would apprecaite any information about any or all of the pieces and a best-guesstimate value on each piece if possible. Certainly if there are any of you in Arizona and are interested, please let me know, we are West of Phoenix, in Surprise, AZ. .
