vintage engineers try square?

By kkimball, 5 October, 2013
Description

I have what I believe to be a framing square or engineers square. It measures 5 3/4" on the long side and

3 1/4" on the shorter side. It is made of metal and on the short side it says  A P Ridge & Sons

Sheffield  and on the other  side of that it says A P but upside down. I have searched the net and cannot find information on this exact piece. If anyone can help with more information such as how old it is, what it is, and how much it may be worth. Thank you.
