History
Bought at a Thrift shop. At the time of purchase it worked, Although once I brought home I plugged in to the wall and I must not have turned off the light previously because a loud pop noise, little smoke, a flash, and the fuse in that room blew. So now of course I am afraid to see if it works. It is a beautiful, unusual floor lamp. I did research it looks just like Handel harp style floor lamps. The felt on bottom is disintegrating and there is no sewed on tag stating Handel. I would also like to know about the shade. The metal on the shade is the same patina as the base of lamp but I have not been able to find any of this style online. The glass is amber color and one panel is missing the glass. Could someone tell me history of the base and shade, authenticity, and worth. I may be interested in selling. Thank you so much!!
