Description

I was wondering if someone could provide more information for me on this piece. It did have a Michigan furniture co label on the inside of one of the drawers. The pulls are very unique. I am not quite sure what the exact name of this type of furniture would be to search it. The dimensions are 45" tall, 20" deep, 34" wide.

Your dresserdates from the second quarter of the 20th Century, dressers of this type are in what's called the "Federal Revival" style. Federal Revival pieces are reproductions of the original American Federal items originally produced from 1780-1830 The Federal Revival style became popular after the first Centennial of the American Revolution in 1876. At that time interest and demand for original Colonial & Federal furnishings was so great it outstripped supply. This caused manufacturers to begin production of pieces in the Colonial style from the Jacobean to late Georgian periods. Today values for these pieces depends on their quality of construction, how close they follow original designs and their overall condition. At auction one like this would go for less than $150.00
