In the antique market sheet
In the antique market sheet music has a very limited demand, generally the printed front covers are clipped and sold as framed "Decorator Art " and the sheet music thrown away. Value depend entirely on the cover Art Work and the artist who originally created it.

Re: In the antique market sheet
You cannot expect anyone in the 'antique market' to know what prime examples of sheet music are worth. You don't ask sheet music collectors to appraise your antique collection, do you? What is the worth of Winslow Homer's Wheelbarrow Polka litho in excellent condition? What is the scarcity and rarity of this piece? How difficult in high grade? 1.5 million titles were copyrighted between 1850 and 1950. St. Louis Blues had more than 100 different covers. E.T. Paull marches sell for anywhere between $5.00 and $2,500.00. How would you know what is common and what rare and what is nearly impossible? How would an antiques trader know? This is its own universe of paper and to become an authority it takes many years of study. Check your source before accepting anyone's information on sheet music value.
