Description I found this at a thrift store and I'd like to know the origins of it and its fair market value. The markings on the bottom are: MAYFAIR HOTEL ST. LOUIS INTERNATIONAL SILVER CO. SILVER SOLDERED 05021 10 OZ. [26] PAT. APRIL 21.1925 The number 26 is in a box; the "9" in the "1925" is hard to see, but it probably is a 9. The markings on the bottom seem self-explanatory, but I'd like to know as much as possible about its origins, the meanings of these markings, and more importantly, its fair market value. Any help is appreciated!

Well from the looks of it somebodies Grandpa stole it from the Mayfair Hotel;~) The piece is what's called "Hotel Plate", made for the commercial market. It tends to be heavy duty stuff, but the plated finish on this one look shot, it's value will depend on how it cleans up. Give it a polish and we'll have another look. Lovejoy
