Hi ,

I am so desperate to find out more about this gorgeous sofa, it is so unbelievably comfortable despite having no new stuffing or modern add ons..

It has all lines of hollywood regency or art deco circa early 30's onwards - However the construction confuses me. All original springs (ALOT of them) + coir stuffing + upholstery fabrics/ layers way predate the 30's era. - fabrics are all cotton /linen- no synthetics

There is no screws and the frame which is all european hardwoods (oak & teak) look hand cut.

Plus the scallop front and back also not quite the kidney shape that was popular in 30's etc.

I am stumped - i cant date this piece. It would be wonderful to uncover the origin. I am willing to rip away upholstery (to be recovered soon) if you may know where i would find the manufacture's plate/info.

Any assistance or comments would be so appreciated.
