vintage vase

This is a vase (with a chip out of one of the handles) that my parents found 40 years ago behind a wall in the house they bought. It is approximately 15" tall from top of handles to base. We have no idea who made it,if it has any value or if it just held sentimental value for whoever put it behind the wall. There are only number markings on base--4679 with what appears to be 55 below them. Also 116 written in pen or pencil on base. My sister & I have probably looked at hundreds of vases on line but without knowing it's origins it was pretty much a waste of time. I've always admired it's beauty and any input would be greatly appreciated.
