Pieces like this tend to postdate World War Two and were mass produced items made for the Export market. Wales was a Japanese manufacturer that made lots of relatively cheap tableware but also lots of children's items like miniature tea sets, etc., either under the main brand 'WALES CHINA' or their subsidiary 'THAMES'. Values tend to be very modest for china like this, it goes for about what you paid for it at auction and yard sales.
