Waterford Electric Table Lamp

Item Description

  • Type: Electric table lamp
  • Brand: Waterford (confirmed by acid-etched Waterford signature visible in the photos)
  • Manufacturer (Hardware): Crescent Brass Mfg. Co., Part No. HT-14N
  • Materials: Hand-cut lead crystal body with solid brass fittings and base
  • Dimensions:
    • Height: 20 inches
    • Width (Glass Body): 8 inches
    • Weight: 5.4 pounds

Authentication

  • The acid-etched "Waterford" marking on the crystal confirms its authenticity.
  • The base reads “Crescent Brass Mfg. Co.,” a U.S.-based company known to supply parts for premium lamps, often including those assembled or distributed with Waterford elements in the U.S.
  • The cut pattern resembles Waterford's popular "Lismore" or “Alana”-style patterns, though it may be a variant not cataloged under a named Waterford design, especially if it was part of a limited run or department store exclusive.

Estimated Age

Based on the materials and styling, this lamp likely dates from the 1980s to early 2000s, during a time when Waterford crystal lamps were popular in both retail and department store lines, especially in the U.S.

Condition

  • Condition: Mint — no visible cracks, chips, or pitting to the crystal or brass; original base and wiring intact.
  • Originality: Appears to retain original socket and harp.

Current Market Value

Comparable Waterford crystal lamps with brass bases in similar size and condition typically sell for:

  • Retail/Online (eBay, Etsy, Chairish, Replacements.com):
    • $175 to $300 USD (per lamp)
  • Auction/Fair Market Estimate:
    • $100 to $200 USD

Note: Value may increase slightly if part of a matching pair.

Professional Appraisal Recommended?

Not required unless:

  • You are insuring a large collection.
  • You plan to sell it in a high-end auction.

Summary

You’ve found a genuine Waterford crystal and brass lamp in mint condition, with premium craftsmanship and strong resale value—especially impressive at your $9 thrift store purchase. While not rare, it is highly collectible and decorative, particularly for those furnishing in traditional or classical styles.
