Description

There is a piece of tape on the bottom of the jug and it reads "antique indian watering jug Effigy".....I really can't think how it can have anything to do with America because it looks to me like a lions head..?

India perhaps..? I have had it for 15 years or so and have never seen anything even close to it.....

so all I can do is show you a picture and hopefully you can guide me as to where/ what it is.....

Medium whitish underneath pottery with blackish color on top....but blackish color WILL NOT rub off so fired or similar maybe changes to blackish and begins whitish?

Distinguishing marks lions head where water comes out of open mouth.....leafish patterns around top/sides...

Condition Good

Size and dimensions of this item 16 inches high and round.....

Date Period it just says Effigy watering jug on bottom and it has an old feeling to it but seems like leaf design has a repeating stampish pattern to it...?

Weight 4lbs....
