Description This was bought at a church rummage sale. I have no idea how old it is but the box it came in was very old, the style of foam padding was old, the boxed was browned in spots. There was a very faded label with a name in German or Dutch that I didn't get any internet hits on. After I hung this, the box disappeared, so I don't have that info any more.

It looks like it depicts a French Hussar Calvary Regiment officer in the 1800's. You could ask on a forum, like this... http://www.armchairgeneral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55524&page=61(your guy actually looks like the one on the bottom) to see who he is...someone may even make you an offer. A war history buff or gamer may want to buy it...it is a nice thing, though not a big market for them, from what I can tell. I have some wax art, too...hard as hell to find valuations. Don't let it melt. Could well be from Germany.
