Description

10 Dessert Plates   7.25"

5 Demitasse Cups   2.75"x2.75"

5 Saucers   5.5"

Milk Pitcher   5.75" high x 3.75" wide

2 Serving Platters   9.75"

Condition:  only the milk pitcher has 2 small chips in it.  Everything has some rubbing of Gold rim.

I am trying to establish the dates of these pieces.  According to Guerin-Pouyat-Elite (parent co.) website:

The "LIMOGES W.G.&Co. FRANCE" symbol in green dates 1891-1932.  Kovels' has it as 1901+ ?

The "W.G.& Co." symbol in green dates to 1870s.

My conundrum is what about this set which has the following symbols:   "W.G.& Co. FRANCE" ??

Furthermore, the Demitasse Cup & Saucer and the Pitcher have the symbol in red.

The Dessert Plate has the symbol in green.

The Serving Platters have both colours although as follows: "W.G.& Co. FRANCE" in red and "W.G.& Co." in green (with no FRANCE).

Are the colour difference meaningful?

Can anybody eleucidate on the Date?  Does this mark pre-date the Limoges symbol?

Also, another key question for me - is it still Limoges eventhough it is not stamped as such?

Any idea of Value?  I am trying to figure out whether to sell them together or with the 2 Serving Platters separately?

Thank you very much folks for helping out a newbie.

 Very best regards,
