I would like some information on this please? I'm wondering if it is bread, cake or jello but can't find anything like it. the lid comes off, has some dents in it but still fits. I think it's pewter, but definitely metal, no rust. The flower design tapers a slight bit, smaller at top than bottom. Help!!!

I make candles and friends thought this was an candle mold and gave it to me. I can't find anything about it and never saw an antiuque candle mold of this shape. Top lid design appears to be fruit so thinking maybe jello or cake but not sure.What is this?
